Our claims department is open for accident reporting seven days a week 8:00am to 8:00pm Eastern Time. Outside of this time, claims can be reported by leaving a message at the above number, and a claim representative will return your call during business hours.
When reporting your claim, please have the accident information available, including date, time, place of accident, identity of vehicles and persons involved, identity of investigating police department
(including report number
, if possible), policy number
, and any other information that could be helpful in the handling of your claim, and any claim being made against you.
How A Claim Works
At the scene of your accident there are a few important items to try to remember to collect.
Download our Accident Checklist to carry in your vehicle which outlines this information. We need this information to properly document your claim. During this time you will be asked to take a Recorded Statement so you can thoroughly explain your claim to a Windhaven Claims Representative.
The fastest way to report and service your claim is through our app. You can quickly send us accident and damage information and photos with just a few easy clicks and photos from your smartphone.
We create a file containing all of your claim information and it is assigned to a Windhaven Claims Adjuster(s) to begin our investigation, determining at fault and estimating damage, while discussing any details of the claim with a third-party, if one is involved in your claim.
Your adjuster(s) creates an estimate of damage, directly related to the coverage you have, to share with you for the repair of your vehicle subtracting the costs you pay given your deductible limit, if applicable.
Payment is issued when the claims investigation is complete.
